Privacy Policy

Kalorea is an iPhone app, the Telegram bot @ai_dietolog_foto_bot and this website. Updated October 18, 2026.

What we store

• Profile, if you fill it in: sex, age, height, current weight, activity level, goal weight, time zone.
• Diary: meal estimates (dishes, grams, calories, macros), food descriptions, meal times.
• Food photos: for an estimate you did not log, 24 hours; for a logged meal, 30 days, after which the photo is deleted and the entry stays.
• Technical data: a random device identifier, your Apple Account user identifier if you sign in with Apple (no email), your Telegram ID if you link the app to the bot, language, active days, a log of recognitions.
• Subscription: if you buy Kalorea Pro, Apple handles the payment. We receive a signed record of the transaction (product, dates, status) to turn Pro on. We never see your card or payment details.

We do not store your name, phone number, contacts or location, we show no ads, and we never sell data.

Who processes photos

Food photos and descriptions are sent for analysis to Claude, an AI by Anthropic, PBC (USA). Your name, identifiers and profile are not sent. The app asks for your consent before the first upload. Please send only food and drinks: no people, documents or other people's data.

This website

kalorea.pro sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Calculators run entirely in your browser; nothing you type into them is sent anywhere. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as your IP address to serve pages and block abuse.

The live demo on the home page resizes your photo on your device and sends it to our server, which passes it to Claude for recognition and returns the result. The photo is not stored and is not linked to any account. To keep the demo fair we count requests per IP address for 24 hours.

Where data is stored

On our server in Germany (Frankfurt). Service logs and database backups are kept for up to 14 days.

Deleting your data

In the app: Profile, then Delete account and data. In the bot: /delete_me. Your profile, diary, photos and technical records are deleted immediately; logs and backups clear themselves within 14 days. If the app is linked to the bot, the shared diary is deleted. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription: manage it in your Apple ID settings.

Children

Kalorea is not intended for children under 13. For anyone under 18 the app never suggests losing weight.
